Corticeira Amorim has once again been recognised internationally by World Finance magazine, which honoured the company for its performance in sustainability and decarbonisation within the wine industry.
The company was awarded the titles of Best Company in Carbon Reduction – 2025 and Most Sustainable Company in the Wine Products Industry – 2026, in recognition of its work in integrating ESG criteria, driving innovation and reducing the environmental impact of its operations.
“This award reinforces the recognition of our long-term strategic commitment to sustainability, based on promoting cork as a material of environmental excellence and on the continuous innovation of our processes and solutions,” said António Rios de Amorim, Chairman and CEO.
Among the initiatives highlighted are investment in renewable energy, the electrification of production processes and the adoption of lower-carbon solutions.
The award for the most sustainable company, which has been awarded consecutively since 2019, further reinforces Corticeira Amorim’s role in promoting cork as a natural, renewable material that is aligned with the principles of the circular economy.
